QUALIFICATIONS:                          

• Educator certification or substitute certificate with an approved background check

• • This is a stipend position, not a full/part time position

  • Preference to those with a theater background with experience in choreography

  • Effective working in a team-teaching environment

  • The choreographer’s responsibilities include working alongside the director and music director, attending auditions, rehearsals as scheduled by the director, and performances of the show. They will be collaborating with the director to create the movement in musical numbers and scenes. The choreographer should be able to gauge what looks great to an audience, and give instructional feedback to the performers as they learn and perfect the movement. This person needs to be able to adapt their choreography to performers from all dance backgrounds. The choreographer reports to the director, and all movement should be created under their vision and guidance.
